The Training Centre has changed its name over the years, but its essence has stayed the same – training, schooling, education. Course content has evolved with IT, yet that does not change the essence: this is probably the oldest centre for advancing clients' IT knowledge in the country, running continuously for 50 years.
The centre was established to train Informatika's clients, above all the staff of the SDK (Social Accounting Service), as the company was introducing computer systems across the SDK of Yugoslavia. It also trained other large users – this was the era of mainframe computers, and Informatika supplied the SDK with both hardware and application software, for its computing centres and for its computer network throughout Yugoslavia (except the then SR Bosnia and Herzegovina).
Informatika's own staff regularly trained in England, in both hardware and system software support – continuously and many times over – and received the corresponding credentials, today's certificates.
